Fatty's second day at the show in England

At the second day Fatty was (again) Best in Variety and Nominated. Here you can see him with Tracey during de Nomination for the Best in Show. We are very happy with his development. You can see his strong boning (for a young male of one year we think he is very strong) which he has also given to his kittens from our G- litter.

Sterrekatten's Bear Hug at his first FIFe show in England

Sterrekatten's Bear Hug, so called 'Fatty', was presented at his first FIFe show in England, represented by the Aristocats Cat Club Show in Lutterworth.

Sterrekatten's Giselle 20 wks

Sterrekatten's Giselle, sister of Gunnar and Giuseppe, is looking for a new home.
A gorgeous blue solid tortie, with some very nice features, very nice bone structure and a super coat (quality) is available as a breeding female.

Dark Dream at the FIFE show in Flensburg.

At the FIFe show in Flensburg we toke Dark Dream and Greta.
Greta got Exc. 1 and lost the BIV against Dark Dream.
Dark Dream got exc.1, BIV-Total and was even Nominated against some very good cats.
During the BIS he got 1 vote, and that was 1 vote short of competing for the BIS. But we are very proud of both youngsters, and got many nice compliments on both of them from breeders.

Diesel at his second show!

Diesel was at his second show in Canada and he did great! - 9th out of 45 cats, and this at his first show as an adult (8 months old).
We think he developed very well into a well typed , big and strong Norwegian Forest Cat. Thanks for taking so good care of him Kat and Dave !!!

Sterrekatten's Gunnar

Sterrekatten's Gunnar moved to his new home about two or three weeks ago and just now we remembered to put some of the new pictures Jennifer and Michael sent us from him.
Gunnar is a very special kitten with some very nice features and a super sweet temper.




We know that he's in very good hands now and we sincerely hope that we'll bring lots of joy to his new owners and that he has lots of sucess in his breeding career.

Results of the show in Rijswijk

This last weekend, November 13th, we went to a show in Rijswijk with Strato, Darkie and Greta.
Although we toke our camera with us, we forgot to take pictures... but hopefully someone did and soon we'll post them here :-)

Stratocaster did very good.
She got the Best in Variety, was nominated and won the Best in Show.
Greta Garbo got the exc.2 out of 5 and Dark Dream again didn't get his qualification, for the second time, because he wasn't in the right group. The judges just don't make up their minds about his colour :-/ but he did have a very nice report from the judge Alfred Wittich ;-)

Grimnir's Nyssa in top condition

This is a picture of Nyssa taken today.
We think Nyssa is a big and strong female with a super expression and with a super coat.
Because she is still in a perfect condition and because she's the only cat of her pedigree that's still fertile and alive (we've been postponing her sterilization) we will mate her for the last time during 2012.
The male we chose for her was Karlik because of his size and boning. We hope this mating will give us beautiful, strong and well sized kittens with a super look/expression.

Sterrekatten's Giuseppe

Marion has sent us more pictures of Giuseppe this week :-)
This kitten is really something... with super nice features, very good size and boning and a super character, he's making the joy of Marion and her husband ♥

Born in July 11th of this year (now with 15 weeks), son of X-It's Andromeda and Sterrekatten's Bear Hug, he's weighting 3kg and developing very nicely.

Change of plans: Werdandi and Uno ;-)

After Werdandi's first litter with Karlik, we were very pleased with the qualities of the kittens she gave us - very strong cats (the males all around 5 kilos or more at 7 months old), all of them with very nice qualities and features and with super character.
Dark Dream and Franz are already showing their potencial at shows between 6 and 10 months. We expect even more when they grow older, especially regarding Anouk, which is also going to England in January.

With Uno we hope to add a little bigger ears, even better chin and forehead and even more coat. In the picture you can see Uno and Werdandi after the mating(s).
We expect the kittens in the first week of January 2012.
Lets see how it goes ;-)

Franz's first show

At his first FIFE show ( in Weiden, Germany) Forest Myths Dynamite Franz got exc.1 and the Nomination for the Best in Show.

WS11 results in Poznan

This year it was not possible for us to be present, but still some Sterrekatten cats went with their new owners and they were well represented.

Sterrenkatten's Zeus got exc.1 for CACS;
Sterrenkatten's Fiona got exc.1;
Tahatu's Beatle (one of the oldest sons of Uno) got exc.1 for CAPS;
Sterrenkatten's Bear Hug got exc.3 in a group of 4.

But the best result was for Sterrenkatten's Diamond - she got exc.1 and was later Nominated for the Best in Show... Unfortunatelly she didn't win the BIS but still we are very happy with these results :-)

Big congratulations to Sarah Runzis, Liesbeth Koopmans, Cecilia Macleod, Ali Ross, John & Caroline Tipper and Hardy & Brigitte Forster.

After staying with us 11 months, finally the time for "Fatty" to go away came and sadly we had to deliver him to his new owners who we know for sure, will take good care of him - our big Bear Hug!! :-)
"Fatty" was always a very special kitten/cat for us, not only because he was born with us but also because he toke a special part in a new stage of our lives and we created bonds with him... Incredibly super sweet and with a great character, "Fatty" has stole many hearts of many people and breeders and now he's gone to England to start his career as a breeding/show cat.
We wish you all the luck and happiness you can get...
Thank you John, Caroline, Cecilia and Ali for loving him so much.

Diesel at his first show in Canada

At his first show in Canada Diesel did very well. He was 4th and 7th (out of 50) with 2 judges. Congratulations Kat and Dave and good luck at your next show!

Giuseppe went to his new home with Marion this weekend... For Marion it was love at first sight... She had to have him!
Giuseppe is indeed a very special kitten, not only because he has one of the best tempers of the litter but also because he gathers very nice features of a wonderful Norwegian Forest cat.
Marion sent us today new more pictures of how he's doing and after we have seen the video she also sent, we are sure that he is and will be a very fortunate kitten with this couple that loves him so much ♥

Metzker (Chester) in his new home with Iris.

Metzker left us 8 days ago and found a lovely new home together with Iris and Bjorn.
Today we received some pictures of all of them and we were super happy to see that Metzker, now Chester ;-), is making this couple very happy and that he also addapted super quick to his new home.
Thank you so much Iris and Bjorn for taking good care of Chester and for giving him so much love and attention.

Chaos, the father our B-litter (Bear hug and the others)

This is Chaos. He is already more then a year, living as a happy neuter alone with two loving people. He is in perfect condition and is weight is around 8 kilos.

G-litter, a family picture

Here you can see mother Andromeda with 5 of her children. In the middle you can see the beautiful spotted pattern of Gunnar. He is our first kitten with an immaculate spotted pattern like this.

G-litter 12 weeks

The G-litter is a litter of very strong kittens. Giuseppe (the red tabby) and Gunnar (the black tabby) are among the strongest that were ever born at our cattery.

Dominique 7 months.

Dominique is 7 months. She is waiting with us to leave for Japan. Her development pleases us ; she is becoming more and more an attractive female.

Florentina 4 months (available)

Florentina is our silver tabby girl from the F-litter. She has a very nice silver tabby, and she is probably an amber carrier. You can see she has an excellent profile, chin and forehead,As she is 4 months old she is ready to leave us.

Plans for the beginning of 2012.

We plan a mating between CH Stratocaster Blue Tanis and our SC Uno av Sandrabben (DM).
We expect a lot from this litter. Strato has excellent type and qualities. Uno has already proved he can make some beautiful kittens.
Because of his age, we think this will be one of his last litters.
Expected colours are white, black (with or without white), black tabby with or without white and blue solid or tabby with or without white if Strato carries dilution, which we don't know yet :-).
We expect the litter between january and march (of course when both cats cooperate).

The G-litter, something about the qualities.

When the litter was born, we thought the kittens were born later then the normal 63 days. You think you must have been mistaken about the date of the mating, when you have a litter of 7(!) kittens with weights between 140 (Giselle) and 155 grams (Gunnar). But when the kittens developed in the coming weeks we knew that that was not the case.
After 9 weeks we can say that the kittens have weights that are between 200 and 300 grams higher then average: Gunnar the biggest with a stunning 1520 grams and Giselle the " weakest" female with still 1160 grams. And all of this without any extra feeding. Just the mothermilk and RC babycat.
About the qualities we are also very pleased; we do not have so many homogene litters like this one. The blue kittens are very much alike, the two reds and the two black kittens also.
All the kittens have (very) big ears and tufts, some of them xxl. All the kittens have very good coats, the blue kittens have the longest coats.
All in all, when you look at the average quality, this is our best litter of the year.
